Use of English for Maritime Students is an English monolingual textbook that offers students of nautical sciences the possibility of upgrading their use of grammar and maritime English vocabulary along with improving exam skills. It puts together the following three major components:
• Revision of essential areas of grammar at B2 level.
• Use of maritime vocabulary and authentic texts all through the book. Exercises and examples have been developed within a maritime context.
• Training in the skills and techniques required for Paper-3 of the FCE examination. The content in each unit is arranged in two parts:
• Focus on Grammar.
• Focus on Vocabulary.
The course is intended for intermediate and upper-intermediate level students. The terms included in the glossary in Appendix I will help students consolidate specialized terminology included in the book. Answers to the exercises of the units are given in Appendix II.
